Lou Lou’a Beach Resort is situated on the fringe of the Al Khan coast on a long stretch of golden sandy beach in the Emirate of Sharjah overlooking the clear blue waters of the Arabian Gulf. With the development of the cultured pearl in Japan during the 1920’s and the subsequent discovery of oil, the pearling industry declined. Today, while the pearling fleets are only a memory, kept alive in folk

songs and legends, the name Lou ‘ Lou’a (pearl) is often used to describe someone or something that is as precious as the gem… A true jewel. We chose the name Lou’Lou’a for our resort not only to pay a tribute to our past, but also to bear testimony to an old adage “Only if you understand the past will you be able to journey successfully into the future…”
