Artem and Naira Barseghyans, the founders of “Barseghyan's Guest House, B&B” since 1999 , welcome you to their home in Armenia, Vardenis. They offer another form of tourism nearby residents and organized by them. The Guest House is situated in town Vardenis (Street: Zoravar Andranik 34) . It's a town at the southeastern part of the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia. It is 170 kilometres (110 miles) from the capital Yerevan, and 75 kilometres (47 mi) from the provincial centre Gavar.
Five bedrooms each with double beds are available to guests. It is also possible to accommodate groups.
Enjoy the quiet and comfort of the home house, rich meal of culinary delights, an Internet connection, but most visits of the company in region of Artem or Naira, who speak French and Russian very well. You will discover beautiful landscapes, visit cemeteries with khachkars (commemorative engraved stones) are typical of Armenian art, enjoy the pleasures of bathing in mineral hot springs, meet Armenian craftsmen.
In Guest House you can enjoy the lovely garden with all kinds of art. There are several places where you can rest, enjoy a cup of tea (made by the herbs from the garden).
Within 150 meters of the Guest House you can participate in a workshop where you can make your own cross-stone. On a footstep of this special experience you can see and sometimes (when the process is on) help to make liquor, wine and marmalade. The distillation and bottling can be seen and done. It is not necessary to say that you can taste it all!
Artem has bikes you can use for free. He knows very beautiful routes to bike (5-50 km). A map is ready for you. When you like hiking with a guide you can hike routes (5-15 km) in the surrounding. The guide will tell you all about the nature and the animals who are living in the surrounding of the guesthouse.
There is also an opportunity to learn and do Armenian dances. Artem and his wife give workshops in the evening (after a very good meal).
