The oldest free walking tour in Armenia; over 9 years of experience. Walk with us around 3 hours and you'll find out interesting sites and stories and even things that are not written in guide books; over 20 Yerevan points of interest and stories (the usual and the hidden places) as well as info about Armenia in general, from history to culture, from art to recent events. We meet at 17:00 in front

of entrance to the Marriott Hotel on Republic Square. Look for the guide with our orange logo lanyard badge. The only way to join our tour is by reservation. Please read all the updated details on our site and reserve there: www.yerevanfreewalkingtours.com

As with all free tours around the world, you don't pay anything up front, but you can tip the guide at the end of the tour. The amount is decided by the traveler.

We started on this day with a pub crawl.

And after a few days the first ever free walking tour in Yerevan was created from scratch, based on the concept of the free walking tours that were taking momentum at that time.

I had been on a few tours around Europe and Asia. I travel a lot and discovered this concept and wanted to literally adopt it for Yerevan.

It worked 🙂

I used to advertise on Facebook at that time. On the first tour, I had 2 people. The 'tip' was a coffee at the end of the tour 🙃

It was short and a bit boring.
===
By the time it developed and was perfected and got a name; Main Tour. Our other tours followed; Soviet Alternative, food, Gyumri and of course Kenats Yerevan Pub Crawl.

There are a few new free walking tours nowadays in Yerevan. Tourism is booming and the market is developing.

We are not related to any other tour in Yerevan, whether tip based or paid. Our listing on Google Maps was hacked (twice🤣) and our reviews are partially on another listing. It happens 😉

Join the first free walking tour in Yerevan; the original, the authentic one. We have our own rules and regulations. We do our best to have between 5 and 20 people per tour.
