The piojito tiquitíqui (White-crested Tyrannulet) might be one of the smallest birds at Estancia Los Potreros, but it knows how to stand out. Perched high and singing, it claims its space with surprising confidence.

It’s these little bursts of color and energy that bring the landscape to life - unexpected, vibrant, and always moving just out of reach.

Small, watchful, and full of character—the lechuza of the pampas.⁠

The Burrowing Owl is a favorite sighting at Estancia Los Potreros. Standing upright beside its burrow, long legs and bright yellow eyes alert to every movement, it’s as curious about you as you are about it.⁠

Unlike most owls, the lechuza is often active during the day, quietly observing the world from ground level. You’ll spot them near open fields, sometimes in pairs, always close to the underground homes they’ve carefully claimed.⁠
