Free Wi-Fi. Great starting point for hiking in the Karwendel or Rofan Mountains, skiing at Christlum Mountain or cross country in the vallies around Achensee, the largest mountain lake in Tyrol. You can start several hikes directly from our house and public transport works very well too. With your guest card (which you pay through visitor's tax) the public transport is free in the whole region. Yo

u can get on the bus heading north or south just outside our door. Many hikers are also fond of the Achensee Holiday Card, with which you for seven days can go by ferryboat as well as using the gondolas in Maurach and Pertisau unlimited. You can buy the Achensee Holiday Card directly at Haus Karoline. There is a small supermarket on the groundfloor of our house and 10 minutes walk to a bigger supermarket. There are several restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk. Only 1 hour drive from Innsbruck, 2 hours from Salzburg and 1,5 hour from Munich.
