A prolific music curator, journalist and DJ, Joel has shaped the sonic identity of the hotel from the very beginning – bringing together music, people and place through his carefully considered selections.⁠

For this special evening, Joel will share a Selector Listening DJ Set – an invitation to slow down, listen closely and discover the stories behind the music.⁠

From 27 October – 1 November, Anais Telian returns to the cōmodo with a week of yoga accompanied by R&B music.

Start the morning with an energising Vinyasa flow, or wind down in the evening with Yin, guided meditation and slow movement. Each session is designed for all levels, with space to focus on balance, strength, release and simply tuning back into yourself.

Expect good music, mindful movement, guided relaxation and a few extra moments of care along the way – from aromatic sprays to gentle neck massages.

From 23–25 October, join us at the cōmodo for a weekend of slow stitching and creative exploration. Working with naturally dyed fabrics and remnants, you’ll create an improvised patchwork, bringing individual fragments together through simple hand-sewing techniques.⁠

Bad Gastein has a rich architectural history, with the 1960s and 70s leaving a distinctive mark on the town. On 27 September, the cōmodo becomes a meeting point for exploring this part of the valley’s story.⁠

As part of Austria’s Heritage Day, the independent research team will share their research into the architecture, graphic design and cultural development of Bad Gastein in the 1970s – with a particular focus on Gerhard Garstenauer’s Kur- und Kongresshaus, the buildings of Sportgastein and the graphic work of Otl Aicher.⁠

The evening continues in the cōmodo cinema with Tele-Tal, a collection of historic film and television footage from Bad Gastein, accompanied by a themed cocktail from the bar.⁠
