Dear guests and followers, we created Haus Heidi a few years ago with great pleasure. Not only the conception, design, renovation, and styling of Haus Heidi, but also sharing it with many satisfied guests to put it on the map has brought us much joy. After our efforts, we can state that this has become a success and is ready to be continued independently by the owner. We can let it go with peace of mind.
This means that we can now focus on the next project to make that a success as well. We are therefore very proud to introduce The Lodge to you! A beautiful traditional Tyrolian style lodge. We hope to make this just as big a success as Haus Heidi and ofcourse we hope to welcome you here in the future! Check: thelodgeamachensee.at

Haus Heidi has everything you need for the perfect summer holiday. There are so many things to do like hiking, (mountain)biking, kayaking, reading a book by the lake or gazing at the surroundings and doing nothing at all. It’s all up to you.

Plenty of ‘yutori’– moments around here, where time slows, allowing you to relax in the rhythm of nature. it’s about finding solace in the present, and following your natural flow.
Yutori comes from the Japanese verb “yutoru” (ゆとる), which means “to be spacious” or “to have room.” It derives from the idea of creating space in one’s life.

Two of the four double bedrooms have gorgeous mountain views. Waking up to this scenery can feel a bit unreal at the beginning.

The entire layout of the house revolves around these captivating views. The living room, the lounging area, the two kitchens, and the dining area all face the mountain slopes to offer you breathtaking vistas you won’t get enough of.

Our guests often find themselves losing track of time. Reading a book, let alone finishing it, can be quite challenging with such a landscape staring back at you.

However, for those moments when you’re ready to shift focus, there’s a big HD TV with Netflix for cozy movie nights and a Nintendo Switch for fun game nights.

Out of the many things you can do while staying at Haus Heidi in the winter, we have selected 3 things you should probably try.

🗻🌲cross-country skiing
Did you know there are some pretty awesome cross-country trails in the Gerlos area? You get to ski through beautiful valleys surrounded by scenic mountaintops. The Schönachtal valley is particularly stunning. Good to know: the trails are groomed regularly from December to Easter. Definitely worth checking out.

🏔️ ❄️ Snowtubing
Want to try another way to go downhill in the snow? Try Snowtubing in Gerlosstein, it is so much fun! Good to know: the specially prepared tubing track can be used free of charge and as often as you like.

🌕 + ⛷️ Moonlight Skiing & dinner
How about a breathtaking sunset on the slopes with a live DJ and a cosy dinner? The highlight of the evening is skiing down the glittering slopes in the moonlight on the full moon dates from January to April. An experience you are not likely to forget.

We created a place for you to unwind. The kind of place you never want to leave.

This little piece of heaven is situated just at the entrance of a beautiful village in the Austrian Alps, Gerlos.

Just across the street from your home away from home, you wil find the starting point of many beautiful hikes alongside the river, leading you to waterfalls and scenic mountain slopes.

The free shuttle bus will take you the ski lifts in 5 tot 7 minute.
Or you can take your own car.
Or even walk if you want to.

There is so much more to do and explore. Maybe it’s better to leave it for you to discover ❤️
