Welcome to your new home in the scenic little town of Innsbruck. Only a few minutes walk to the city centre and surrounded by the beautiful Alps, we offer three great places to spend your holidays at, both in summer and winter. We wish you a lovely stay in one of our fully equipped apartments or rooms! Willkommen in deinem neuen Zuhause mitten in Innsbruck, einer idyllischen Stadt im Herz der Alpen. Mit nur wenigen Minuten Fußweg zum Goldenen Dachl und ausgezeichneten Anbindungen in die umliegende Bergwelt stellen unsere voll ausgestatteten Apartments und Zimmer einen idealen Ausgangspunkt dar, um die Kultur- und Freizeitangebote Tirols zu genießen. Im Sommer wie im Winter ist Innsbruck einen Besuch wert. Wir wünschen einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in einem unserer drei Häuser!

What to know before you arrive. ♥️

Check-in is self check-in from 4 pm. Your keycode comes by email a few days before, so there is no front desk and no queue. Towels are already there, and we change them every three days. If you stay two nights or more, register for the Welcome Card via the link we send you, and public transport in the Innsbruck region is free for your stay.

Book directly and parking is included, one space per apartment. Let us know before you arrive. At the Riedz, the washing machine and dryer are in the basement. Bus J stops at the door, and the old town is a seven-minute walk.

And from 10 pm, Hötting goes quiet.

Renovation update 🛠️

The railing in the stairwell went in this month. Outside, the holes in the facade are being plastered, and the painters are next. Inside, every room now has its cooling ceiling, and the covers and lighting for them are on the way.

Every few weeks we will show you how far the house has come, until the doors open. We can’t wait to show you the whole house. 😍

The new units will be bookable soon!

Did you know that Innsbruck has its own small airport?

Landing in Innsbruck is something else. The plane drops into the valley with mountains rising on both sides and suddenly the whole city lies right below you, framed by peaks.

Every home has a few corners that get more use than the rest.

At Die Kabine, these are ours:
The balcony, where the first coffee of the day comes with the mountains in full view. The table in the living room, where the autumn sun does most of the decorating. The wooden staircase, worn in all the right places. And the beds, which make an early start harder than it needs to be.

Number 3 is our favorite. 😍

Staying a few weeks instead of a few days changes what you need. At some point the kitchen table stops working and you want a different room.

1. Die Bäckerei Kulturbackstube (Die Bäckerei Kulturbackstube) on Dreiheiligenstraße. Self-service café downstairs, bookable desks on the first floor, and a house that has been a cultural centre long enough to feel lived in.

2. The Bäckerei Ruetz (Der Bäcker Ruetz) branches work differently. You buy breakfast at the counter, take a table, and the coffee keeps coming. If you are up early it will hold you until lunch.

3. The garden at the Riedz has sockets and wifi out on the terrace, which on a mild afternoon beats both.

Save it if you are here on a project, a rotation or a longer stay.

Autumn hiking season is here! Walk up, eat, walk down. 🥾

Three huts above Innsbruck, thirty to eighty minutes from the Hungerburg or directly from your door.

Opening days change in autumn, so check before you go.

Autumn is the season Innsbruck does best and asks least for. The trails empty out, the air over the valley goes clear and the cable cars are still running. 🍁🥾

Your neighbourhood for a few days, part two.

The first part covered the everyday things, bread, cake and the corner shop. This one goes uphill.

1. On Schneeburggasse there is a Bauernautomat (vending machine) stocked straight from farms nearby, and autumn is when it gets good.

2. The Burenwirt is five minutes away and does the kind of Austrian cooking that we love.

3. Twenty minutes uphill, the Höttinger Schießstand has a garden terrace and the whole valley in front of it.

4. Thirty five minutes gets you to the Planötzenhof, and by then you have earned lunch.

Three day trips from Innsbruck, no car needed.

1. Seefeld is a train ride from Westbahnhof or Allerheiligenhöfe. Petting zoo, a lake to swim in, walks in every direction, and in winter tobogganing and cross country trails.

2. To get to Stubaital take a tram ride on the Stubaitalbahn. The Stubay has an adventure pool and a sauna for a slow day, and hiking routes start wherever you step off. In winter it turns into ski country.

3. To Achensee take a train and then either the Achenseebahn or the bus. A big clear lake to hike around and swim in, and boat trips if you would rather sit and watch.

Save the list for a day with nothing planned, and tell us which one you would do first.

An Ausgugg is a lookout. The name is doing its job here.

56 m² on the first floor of the Riedz, with a balcony that faces the garden and has the Nordkette behind it. Room enough for a long evening outside after a day in the mountains.

The box-spring double becomes two singles on request, and the sofa hides a mattress for two more. Spacious for 2, comfortable for 4, from 140 Euro per apartment.
