Unser Haus wurde 1930 von der Fam. Mayerhofer erbaut.
Am 04.12.1934 wurde dieses von unseren Großeltern Eduard und Barbara Astner erworben und als kleines Dorfwirtshaus mit 6 Zimmern unter dem Namen „Waidmannsheil“ geführt.
Nach Kriegsende wurde es von den Amerikanern besetzt und anschließend mussten unsere Großeltern von Neuem beginnen.
Erst mit dem Bau des Kraftwerkes, als viele Arbeiter ins Dorf kamen, wurde zum gutgehenden Wirtshaus.
1966 baute die 2. Generation, Peter und Erni Gotthardt geb. Astner das Haus aus und erweiterten es auf 16 Zimmer. Allerdings waren nur 4 Zimmer davon mit Dusche.
Da dies bald nicht mehr den Ansprüchen der Zeit entsprach, wurde 1980 das ganze Haus renoviert und alle Zimmer mit Dusche und WC errichtet, und das Haus als Hotel mit Restaurant betrieben.
2009 entschloß sich die 3. Generation Eduard und Juliane Gotthardt da Haus in ein Apartmenthaus umzubauen.
Our house was built in 1930 by the Family Mayerhofer.
On 04.12.1932 the house was acquierd by our grandparents Eduard and Barbara Astner and was managed as small village tavern with 6 hotel rooms under the name „Waidmannsheil“.
After the second world war, it was occupied by the american soldiers and after this difficult period t our grandparents had to start all over again. With the start of the construction of the high moutain reservoir lakes a lot of workers came to Kaprun and made the „Waidmannsheil“ a profitable business.
In 1966 the 2nd Generation, Peter and Erni Gotthardt (born Astner) upgraded the house and extended it to 16 rooms. Allthough only 4 rooms had its own shower.
As this soon did not meet the demands of the time, the house had been reconstructed.
All hotel rooms got its own shower and toilet. The tavern had became a three star hotel with an excellent restaurant.
In 2009, the 3rd generation, Eduard und Juliane Gotthardt, decided to reconstructed the hotel into an Aparthotel. Since then the Aparthotel Waidmannsheil is well know as a cosy four star Aparthotel directly in the center of Kaprun.
