It is owned by Freiberger Holdings "Ernst Freiberger purchased and restored the legendary building to its former glory in exemplary fashion using the original construction plans from 1903". Access to the Grand Hotel, which is also called the McKinsey Alpine University & Leisure Campus, is generally limited to members and alumni of McKinsey and their families.

Autumn is made for exploring the mountains. Here are two of our favourite suggestions:

🌿 For an easy panoramic walk: Hahnenkamm Panorama Loop
A relaxed 2.9 km loop starting at the top of the Hahnenkammbahn. In around one hour, enjoy beautiful views across Kitzbühel and the surrounding mountains – perfect for a leisurely walk in the fresh mountain air.

🍂 For a little more adventure: Kitzbüheler Horn – Alpine Flower Panorama. An 8.5 km hike taking around four hours, leading from the Kitzbüheler Horn towards Bichlalm. Along the way: sweeping mountain views, the Hornköpflsee, Hochetzkogel and plenty of places to stop and take it all in.

🚴‍♂️ What a day in Kitzbühel! Yesterday, more than 1,500 cyclists took on the 6th Kitzbüheler Radmarathon – pushing their limits through the stunning Tyrolean Alps and conquering the legendary mountain finish at the Kitzbüheler Horn. 🏔️🔥
An incredible atmosphere, outstanding performances and new course records made it a truly memorable sporting highlight!
