A Taste of Terroir at ELSA 🍷🌿 On 12 July, ELSA Spa Apartments Tux hosted its first-ever wine masterclass - conducted by Darrel Joseph, one of the world’s leading specialists in Central and Eastern European wines.

Fittingly held in the breathtaking alpine setting of the Tux Valley, the event was a joyful exploration of Austria’s rich wine culture. Guests from Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic tasted 10 exceptional Austrian wines from top producers — and discovered exciting grape varieties from Grüner Veltliner to Blaufränkisch as well as a full range of wine styles, from sparkling to sweet.

In addition to Darrel’s masterclass, guests also met Chris Sciacca, a passionate sustainable winemaker and founder of Kapitel Zwei in Krems.

After the tasting, guests enjoyed delicious food, warm conversations, and the family-like atmosphere that made this debut event truly special.

An unforgettable weekend that blended hiking, spa relaxation, world-class wine education and authentic Tyrolean hospitality. Perfect synergy.
