This year’s Mannheim Summer places Mozart in the spotlight with some of his most beloved works.

Highlights include:
• The Magic Flute as the festival’s opening premiere at the OPAL, followed by two additional performances
• Mozart’s Requiem (completed by Franz Xaver Süßmayr) paired with Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550
• A special guest performance of Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo at the Schloss Theater Schwetzingen

Ten days of international music and theatre, bringing together masterpieces from across the centuries.

Mozart Week 27 explores brilliant composers often compared to Mozart- Arriaga, Saint-Georges, Kraus, Devienne & Mysliveček - in dialogue with Mozart’s own masterpieces.

Highlights include:
• Semi-staged Così fan tutte
• Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9
• Puppet theatre, cinema with live music & family concerts
• CAMERATA Salzburg’s 75th anniversary celebration

Featuring the Vienna Philharmonic, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Igor Levit, Magdalena Kožená, Christian Thielemann, Víkingur Ólafsson & many more.

May 29 Assembly Rome

Today the First Plenary Assembly of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe active in Italy takes place in Rome.

The European Mozart Ways are represented by the Board Member Angela Romagnoli.

🎻 May & June at the Mozarteum Foundation

Early summer brings a vibrant mix of music, from young talents and sibling ensembles to international stars. Highlights include Rolando Villazón’s “sofa concert” (May 5), Fazıl Say (May 19), and an open-air summer concert (June 11).
A special moment: the Hagen Quartet’s farewell performance on June 16 after 45 years.

Plus: family concerts, interactive formats, and unique experiences throughout the season.

🎶 Mozart Festival Augsburg | May 4–31

Under the motto “A Matter of the Heart,” the festival returns with renowned artists including Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Isabelle Faust, Chilly Gonzales & Jess Gillam.
Blending Mozart with diverse musical influences, the program crosses stylistic boundaries, celebrating openness, curiosity, and international exchange. A festival with roots in 1952 and a strong voice in today’s classical scene.

Benefit Concert for a Mozart Church

In 1778, Mozart spent a week here and played the organ in this very church. Now, a special benefit concert helps secure its future.

Program: Mozart flute quartets, Salzburg Duo KV 423 & Divertimento KV 563
Performed by four award-winning young musicians from around the world, supported by Villa Musica.

Presented by Villa Musica & the town of Kirchheimbolanden.

🎸 April 15 – Nicolas Robert Lang & Band
A unique voice that blends sharp wit and raw honesty in the tradition of Georg Kreisler and Sigi Maron.
At just 26, Nicolas Robert Lang moves effortlessly between genres – from post-punk and folk to Alpine traditions, jazz, and Austro-pop.
Joined by Pia Dietl (double bass) and Felix Brandauer (styrian accordion).

🎻 April 16 – Ania & Sophie Druml
A captivating duo recital by the versatile sisters from Vienna.
From Johann Sebastian Bach to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and even blues – an evening showcasing remarkable musical range.

🎶 April 17 – Posch, Dolezal, Rausch
Hermann Posch returns to Mozarthaus with a program full of soul. Together with Jimi Dolezal and, for the first time, Stephan Rausch on blues harp – witty, poetic, and deeply expressive.

Danzi – Son of Schwetzingen
