The problem with a full-day team session usually shows up around 4pm.

People start checking the time. Someone has to beat the traffic, someone else has a pickup, and suddenly the final discussion, usually the part where decisions get made, is happening with half the room gone.

When everyone is staying on site, the day doesn’t need to end around everyone else’s commute. Finish when you need to, head upstairs, and be back downstairs the next morning without travelling across Adelaide again.
