Stella Maris Port Adelaide, Quin Marine and the ITF all assisted the crew of the livestock carrier Mawashi Al-Gasseem in 2005. According to Les Jones from the Port Adelaide Historical Society (2͏0͏2͏1͏), the "Livestock carrier Mawashi Al Gasseem was arrested in Port Adelaide by the Admiralty Marshall in October 2005. She was removed to the anchorage where she remained for 8 months due to unpaid debts of around USD 600,000 for fuel and another USD 400,000 for salaries to the mainly Filipino crew. This vessel can carry around 100,000 sheep and as such is one of the largest livestock carriers of its kind. Quin Marine after its arrest continued to support the master Captain Roman Alcantara and the 69 crew with food and fuel to keep the lights on for 6 months even though they were owed $130,000 by the owners."

According to https://www.misyononline.com/book/export/html/693 , "Captain Roman Alcantara was in command of the MV Mawashi AL Gasseem, a livestock carrier, when it was arrested in Adelaide, Australia in March 2005. The ship, with its 69 mainly Filipino crew, had actually been sailing the previous month without any provisions. The ship was arrested after a Danish company, OW Bunker and Trading, sued for non-payment for fuel."
