Last year, Picture Hire had the pleasure of providing gear to an incredible crew from South Korea on their feature film ‘Five Roses’ including our Sony Burano and our Atlas Mercury Anamorphic lenses.
Five Roses DOP Jihyun KIM said:
“I was really impressed by the kindness and hospitality Dave, Dai, Nick, and Pierah showed, as well as their professionalism as a camera equipment team. Without you, Five Roses could never have been filmed.
The Sony Burano has excellent native resolution, so the perceived image quality was very high. I was also satisfied with the Burano’s image stabilization, which made handheld shooting much less burdensome. But what impressed me the most about the Sony Burano was its dual ISO. Both 800 and 3200 delivered equally excellent image quality, and ISO 3200 proved to be extremely useful for our night shoots in low-light conditions.
Thank you so much for preparing such excellent cameras and lenses. Thanks to that, I was able to shoot comfortably and enjoyably. This was my first visit to Adelaide, and I believe Picture Hire and all of your staff will remain a lasting memory for me. I’m truly grateful.”
