Port Willunga Beach is one of the Fleurieu Peninsula’s most photographed coastal destinations, about 35 km south of Adelaide. It is famous for its dramatic golden limestone cliffs, white sand, turquoise water and the iconic remains of the old jetty. 

Things to see and do:
• 🪨 Explore the beach caves carved into the cliffs — particularly impressive at low tide.
• 🌅 Watch the sunset over the Gulf, with the old jetty pylons silhouetted against the water.
• 🏖️ Walk along the soft white sand beneath the golden cliffs.
• 🤿 Explore the waters around the site of the Star of Greece shipwreck, which sank in 1888; parts of the wreck remain underwater. 
• 🍽️ Enjoy the spectacular coastal views from the Star of Greece.
• 📸 The combination of cliffs, caves, sand and historic jetty remains makes it an excellent photography location.

The Port Willunga caves are also specifically highlighted by South Australian tourism as a place where visitors can explore and even enjoy a picnic inside the famous caves.
