We’re starting construction on Bruny Island Main Road this week to seal the unsealed section of the road between Alonnah and Lunawanna, make improvements to drainage, and install wildlife warning signs.
These upgrades will reduce dust along the road, and lower ongoing maintenance costs.
During the works the road will be reduced to one lane, with traffic controllers in place and a lower speed limit. Plan for an extra ten minutes to your journey if travelling through the worksite, especially if you’re on the way to the ferry.
