Sometimes it’s the practical things that make being away from home so much easier.

Being able to make breakfast in your own kitchen instead of finding somewhere to eat every morning. Having parking right there when you come back after a full day exploring. Wi-Fi when you need it, and laundry facilities when you’ve somehow gone through twice as many clothes as you packed. 😂

They might not be the things you take photos of on your holiday, but they’re definitely the things you appreciate while you’re here.

How many days do you actually need in Albany?

Well… how long have you got? 😂

One day could be all about the coast, heading out to The Gap and Natural Bridge and keeping an eye out for whales along the way.

The next, pull on your walking shoes and explore a section of the Bibbulmun Track before rewarding yourself with a good lunch somewhere local.

Then there’s the National Anzac Centre, our beaches, lookouts, local food, wineries and all those places you inevitably hear about once you arrive and think, “Okay, we need another day.”

That’s the thing about Albany. There’s always something else worth seeing.

So give yourself enough time to explore without racing through a checklist, and somewhere comfortable and quiet to return to when your legs have officially had enough for the day. 😂🐚

There’s something extra lovely about reading a review that mentions the little things you work hard to get right. 💛

A recent TripAdvisor guest shared:

“It is a lovely secluded location. The rooms are immaculate. Everything is catered for. Very comfortable beds. Lovely seating area outside of the room also secluded seating in the gardens. Would definitely book again.”

That last sentence might just be our favourite.

If you’ve been on the road for a while, you’ll know there comes a point where you’re ready for a proper shower, a load of washing and a couple of nights where you don’t have to pack everything up again the next morning. 😂

Emu Point Motel makes a pretty handy place to stop, settle in and regroup before the next part of your trip.

There’s private parking with room for boats and trailers, a guest laundry to deal with the growing pile of road-trip washing, and a fully enclosed BBQ area where you can cook dinner and enjoy an easy night in.

Stay for a few days, explore Albany while you’re here, restock what you need and work out where the road is taking you next.

Then, when you’re ready, pack it all back up and keep adventuring.

We’ll be here when you need a good pit stop. 🐚

There’s something lovely about spending the day exploring Albany, then leaving the busier part of town behind when you’re ready to call it a day.

Emu Point Motel is tucked away in a quieter pocket of Albany, surrounded by bushland and just 200 metres from the beautiful Middleton Bay.

You can wake up and wander down towards the water, spend your days exploring everything Albany has to offer, then come back somewhere that feels noticeably calmer at the end of it.

Less traffic outside your room. More coastal air, birds in the trees and that lovely feeling of being away from it all without actually being far away from anything.

Close enough to enjoy Albany. Quiet enough to feel like you’ve properly escaped. 🐚
