PORT FEST – PORT OF ALBANY BICENTENARY

On the Afternoon Programme at 1.20pm today, Jenny Seaton will be speaking to Southern Ports Regional Manager Albany, Paul McSweeney.

Southern Ports is excited to open the Port of Albany gates to the community to celebrate their bicentenary!

This rare and exciting FREE community event will give you the chance to explore their history, see the scale of their operations and vision for the future.

There will be something for everyone. Guided bus and boat tours will run throughout the day - but spaces are limited so make sure you book when you secure your PortFest ticket!

National Anzac Centre April 2026 Gun Salute Schedule

The Princess Royal Fortress will come alive with the sounds of the past this April, as the fortress joins in on the Albany 2026 program. The resounding booms of the iconic 9-pounder gun will mark this momentous year in a truly memorable fashion.

Gun salutes will fire twice a day at 10:30am and 1:30pm sharp over the following dates:

Tuesday 14 April
Thursday 16 April

Week leading to Anzac Day
Tuesday 21 April
Thursday 23 April

Albany’s community and visitors are invited to attend these free events and take part in this historical spectacle.

The Binalup / Middleton Beach Festival is returning on Australia Day, Monday 26 January 2026 with FREE fun for everyone!

Start your day with the Australia Day Big Breakfast from 7am to 11am, then enjoy a festival packed with adventure and activities for all ages. There will be a range of free activities on offer, including a barrel sauna, dodgeball, parkour, inflatables, messy play, archery tag, Mermaid Cove, mini golf, cultural displays, art workshops, live music performances, food trucks and so much more!
