Our very own Winter wonderland ❄️ You just never know when a little magic (a combination of temperature, moisture and motivation) may be performed in the early morning hours at our Granite Belt campground.

No hot showers until the pipes thaw, but we think it's worth it to see the joy on little ones' faces.

The snow gun has been running for a few hours. It's not the 5m that Chile received this week, but it is a good result for me. It is the first night that has been cold enough to make snow for a few years.

My 1st time up Mt Norman in Girraween NP. A pretty special view from the top. Some rock climbing experience is needed to get to the summit.

A very welcome 40mm (70mm since Aus Day). Now we have a highlands day of south-westerly drizzle.

The 2nd big lady I've seen laying eggs well away from the dam. They seem to be thinking differently to the weather guys. I hope the turtles are correct.

Girraween NP is only 45min from Foxbar Falls Campground. I believe Girraween translates to place of flowers.

Another Easter at Foxbar Falls, and another Easter Egg toss. Our kids have developed their aim, and their decision-making to ensure the little kids don't miss out ❤️

Koalas aren't particularly common here, but this is the 1st one we've seen in over 5 years, since before the big drought.

We've just had this list bought to our attention (ebird.org). Bird watching campers are a prominent clientele for us. Our property has a diverse array of habitat scenarios; 500ha of untouched bush, semi-open bush, grassy and many ha of permanent water. Perfect for a diversity of birds (and other wildlife).
