A picturesque seaside town at the foothills of the Otways, Apollo Bay has charmed locals and visitors alike for generations.

For this week's Unofficial History, Ali Moore wants to hear your tales of the biggest fish caught, tastiest ice-cream enjoyed and longest summer spent in the coastal town.

Apollo Bay was named by Captain Loutit in 1845 when he sheltered his vessel, the Apollo, from a storm in the area.
