Pyrenees Shire Council recently invited artists to submit proposals for a brand-new public artwork to be installed at the entrance to Avoca.
A shortlist of designs have been selected based on artistic merit, community relevance, durability, and their ability to reflect Avoca's identity and values. 🍇❤️

Now it's YOUR turn to have a say!

Well, we were happy to hear our guests that stayed last weekend once again enjoyed what our town and region have to offer. One couple were here treating the other to a surprise weekend away and another couple were avid birdwatchers and took time out to enjoy what Bigibila Wines had to offer and loved the food and hospitality there so much they are coming back . Special shout out to Sally's Paddock (Redbank Winery) for referring the lovely couple to us that were on their way back from the Mundi Mundi Bash and of course to the boys The Avoca for fitting in our guests at last minute.

The Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards night was a celebratory evening, bringing together towns, tourism operators and industry representatives from across Victoria to recognise regional communities' achievements.
In the Top Tiny Tourism Town category, Avoca was up against strong contenders including Glenrowan, Port Campbell, Dunkeld, Portsea, Marlo, Ouyen and Whitfield.
While Avoca didn't take home an award this year, it was wonderful to see the town recognised as a finalist among such outstanding destinations.
🏆Congratulations to Portsea (Gold), Glenrowan (Silver) and Port Campbell (Bronze) on their well-deserved achievements.
Being named a finalist highlights Avoca's growing reputation as an important Western Victoria tourism destination and reflects the dedication of our local businesses, volunteers and community.

Well from having a normally dry creek we still have water for now but a big change from yesterday.😀
