BALLINA RIVER BATHS

These baths were situated at the same site as the current public pool. The land was approved and tenders called for the baths in 1885.

Just across the road from Reflections Ballina.
Did you learn to swim there?

Early Precursors and Timeline1885: Tenders for an earlier tidal Ballina River Pool were first advertised in the Sydney Morning Herald, providing a local swimming spot dependent on river tides.
1974–1975: The modern Ballina War Memorial Pool took shape, replacing older concepts.
1981: The iconic Ballina Waterslides opened next to the pool, becoming a popular local landmark.
2017–2018: The facility closed for a massive $15.5 million redevelopment project by Ballina Shire Council.
2018: Reopened as a modern aquatic centre featuring a FINA-compliant heated 50-metre pool, an enclosable 25-metre pool, a splash park, and transparent river views.

Why not visit our local art gallery.

The artist of the month at the Creative Artisans Gallery is Rod Ellis.

Rod is an artist without limits and paints what inspires him.
Drop down to the Wigmore Arcade on River Street Ballina and have a look at his creative work. Open Monday to Friday 9.30am - 3.30pm and Saturday 9.30am to 12 noon.
