A different kind of excitement at the Hostel this week, with works commencing on our new building project!

It’s been a little noisy as preparation works get underway, but we have all enjoyed watching the activity, machinery and progress as this exciting new chapter begins. We look forward to sharing updates along the way.

Firemen Funday at the Hostel today! 🚒

Another fun-filled morning with our favourite firies, who helped us try a new game involving sticky balls and targets — which quickly became a very competitive activity.
The laughs continues when the firies took photos with our residents and transformed them into hilarious AI creations.

A belated Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mums who call our Hostel home. 💐

While we may have been a little late capturing photos with our Mother’s Day decorations, we still wanted to take a moment to celebrate the amazing women in our care. Today we spent time creating beautiful flower arrangements together, sharing stories, laughter and plenty of creativity along the way.

We hope all of our mums felt loved, celebrated and appreciated — not just on Mother’s Day, but every day.

One of our staff used The Royal Children's Hospital this year. All is well and we would like to introduce Subig. He is magnificent. We decided to donate funds raised from our Easter Raffle to the exService Members Club Balranald to add to the Good Friday Appeal community effort. First Prize went to Betty Blake. 2nd to Helen Armstrong and Graham Ellis won the Pamper Pack. He was chuffed. Thank you again to the community for their generosity. Thank you again to the newsagency for supporting us to sit out the front. We raised $688.70. So many people stopped and chatted to us about their own RCH stories over the last 70 years
