Barmedman Mineral Pool is a large relaxing pool with a naturally high mineral content. It's the perfect picnic spot with BBQ facilities and free admission run by local volunteers. Barmedman is famous for the mineral pool, which originated from the flooding of the Barmedman goldmines by an underground stream in the 1880’s. The pool is said to ease aches and pains due to the high mineral content. It is fed by an underground stream and is surrounded by shady grassed areas. The facilities are open all year round and the pool is filled every summer between November and March.

💦 BARMEDMAN POOL WORKING BEE 💦

It’s that time of year again! 🏊‍♀️🌿

We’ll still be holding our main working bee (date TBA, so watch this space! 📅), but if you can’t make it or just have a few hours to spare, there are plenty of tasks you can jump in and help with whenever it suits you:

☐ W**d the outside garden beds
☐ W**d the garden beds along the fences
☐ Rake up sticks and leaves around the pool perimeter
☐ General tidy-up around the grounds
☐ Clean the toilet block
☐ Clean out the toilet block gutters
☐ Clean the BBQs
☐ Clean and tidy the BBQ area
☐ Remove cobwebs from the seating areas
☐ Clean around the outside of the kiosk
☐ General cobweb removal around the pool area
☐ Tidy up around the fencing and perimeter
☐ Main pool clean-up (Working Bee Day – TBA)

Essential Energy are currently undertaking power pole upgrades around the mineral pool. This unfortunately means no hot showers and bbqs the coming week!
