Barmedman Mineral Pool is a large relaxing pool with a naturally high mineral content. It's the perfect picnic spot with BBQ facilities and free admission run by local volunteers. Barmedman is famous for the mineral pool, which originated from the flooding of the Barmedman goldmines by an underground stream in the 1880’s. The pool is said to ease aches and pains due to the high mineral content. It

is fed by an underground stream and is surrounded by shady grassed areas. The facilities are open all year round and the pool is filled every summer between November and March.

We would like to remind everyone visiting the pool that NO DOGS are allowed in the gated area of the pool grounds, this includes the lawn area. Over the last week we have had to kindly ask several people to remove their pets from the pool. You can't take them into your local pool, why would you think it's OK to bring them into the mineral pool? There are signs clearly stating this. Also NO GLASS in the gated area of the pool. Thank you.

Once again the Bland Shire have done a wonderful job with the street sweeper cleaning the large area of the pool. Thank you!
