Do you remember your first visit to Binna Burra? 🦜

Maybe it was a family holiday, a school trip, your first walk through the rainforest, a weekend away or simply a stop at the Tea House.

For generations of visitors, Binna Burra has been a place where memories are made and then shared with the next generation.

After a day exploring Binna Burra, there’s something pretty appealing about settling in at Groom’s Cottage with a freshly made pizza and a cold drink.

Gather your walking companions, grab a table and enjoy a relaxed evening on the mountain at the Bushwalker’s Bar.

Sometimes the best way to finish a day in the rainforest is pizza, a drink and nowhere else you need to be.

A remarkable story of resilience.

We’re delighted to see the Binna Burra story featured in the July edition of Business View Oceania.

The feature looks back at almost a century of conservation and nature-based tourism at Binna Burra, while telling the extraordinary story of the past seven years.

From the devastating 2019 bushfires to COVID shutdowns, severe weather and the long journey to rebuild, there have been more than a few challenges along the way.

But this is also a story about people.

Our shareholders, team, community, volunteers, governments, partners and supporters have all played a part in helping Binna Burra move forward.

And now, as the new Lodge moves closer to welcoming guests, another chapter in that story is about to begin.

As Binna Burra Chairman Steve Noakes says in the article:

“The place has been resilient since the word go.”

We think that sums it up pretty well. 💚

It's perfect weather for a rainforest walk, lunch with a view at the Tea House, or simply finding a quiet spot to soak up the fresh mountain air.

These last days of the season are made for pulling on your walking shoes, heading beneath the rainforest canopy and enjoying that unmistakable cool-weather feeling on the mountain.

Choose a short stroll or make a day of it on the trails, then return with rosy cheeks and a few more kilometres under your belt.

A big thank you to our wonderful Friends of Binna Burra volunteers!

The FoBBs team was back in action over the weekend, lending plenty of hands to the new gardens taking shape around the Lodge.

There was digging, planting, landscaping and no shortage of teamwork, all helping to bring more of the surrounding landscape back to life as we prepare for the next chapter at Binna Burra.

And of course, good work deserves a good morning tea!

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who gave their time, energy and enthusiasm over the weekend. These volunteer days are a great reminder of just how much community spirit sits behind Binna Burra.
