Her family bought a voucher for their mum, a lady who’s followed our journey from the very first design sketches, through the build, right up to opening day. And beyond.

Five nights later, she left us this review. 🥹

This week, John and Jane’s Beechworth turns four.

Every year around now, I stop and look back. The dream. The concept, the design, the construction... the highs, the lows, the curveballs, and honestly, loving every minute of it.

Four years on, we’ve welcomed hundreds of guests, collected just as many 5-star reviews, and met so many who keep coming back. We’re so proud of what we’ve created: a luxury Beechworth getaway where friends and families come together and make memories.

There's a moment, right as the bikes come off the rack, where you can watch the shoulders finally drop. The trail's done. The legs are jelly. Time to relax.

That's the bit I love — watching people arrive back at basecamp, mud still on the tyres, grinning like idiots at those 'wow' moments on the trail.

Storage for the bikes, space to spread out and patch up, a bath to soak the aching muscles, a fire and a soft bed waiting for round two tomorrow… not a hostel you're passing through, a home built for the ride.

Hard to believe it’s been 5 years since we started our John and Jane’s journey - always a dream of ours to be able to welcome people to gather and enjoy time away from everyday life. A place for friends and family to make memories.

Open nearly 4 years now, we’re absolutely honored to have been able to welcome hundreds of groups who have gathered at John and Jane’s to relax, unwind, laugh and share good times!

Each home sleeps up to 8 or book both for larger groups to sleep up to 16!!

On a side note: how much have our palm trees grown!! 🌴🌴

I remember seeing the grey / blue tones of the brickfaces when I was choosing finishes during the design process and knew I just had to have them. That was the day I decided both houses would be same same, but different. John's is a little darker, a little moody. Greys and blues with gunmetal hardware, softened by timber accents and layers of texture.
