Tegan Higginbotham () is Jacky Winter Garden’s resident for April. An award-winning comedian and one of Australia’s most versatile screenwriter/actors, she’s known for her passion, energy, and fresh perspective. You might also recognise Tegan from her regular TV stints on shows including Whovians, Have You Been Paying Attention?, Tonight at the Museum, Spicks and Specks, and Whose Line Is It Anyway?

As for how she plans to use her time at Jacky Winter Gardens, Tegan says, “A decade after performing my last solo stand-up show, I am excited to return to the stage with a new live performance piece. Part comedy, part theatre, I aim to deliver the most creatively ambitious and relevant show of my career. (No pressure, right?) I plan on using my time at Jacky Winter Gardens to break the core structure of the show, delving into the real heart of the overall message. To be frank, I think this process is going to kick my arse. But I’m ready to the embrace the challenge, in all its raw and terrifying beauty.”

Jacky Winter Waters welcomes April resident Lauren Mallaby, a spiritual care practitioner, student counsellor and contemplative creative whose work explores the intersection of reflection, creativity, and connection with the natural world. For over a decade she has supported people navigating grief, identity, spiritual questions, and life transitions, integrating practices such as mindful contemplation, reflective writing, embodied awareness, music and art.

Lauren is currently writing a book on recovery from spiritual abuse and is passionate about creating spaces where people can reconnect with meaning, healing, and their own inner wisdom.
