Throwing it back to the Knox Grammar School School’s Centenary Tattoo. A production that was about a lot more than just getting the gear in and getting the show on.

For Knox Grammar School’s Centenary Tattoo, CMG Audio Visual & Touring provided full-service production management and technical direction, taking the production from pre-production through to the final performance.

With more than 800 performers across 14 acts, the show brought together choirs, orchestras, concert bands, rock bands, drum ensembles and massed pipe bands, all moving through a huge arena production.

CMG’s team was across the entire technical picture, from pre-vis lighting design and programming, bespoke rolling stages and risers, custom gobos and special effects, through to a full-range Meyer Sound arena system and a multi-destination Barco E2 system handling screens, relay and broadcast.

The audio and broadcast setup was just as comprehensive, with a Midas Heritage-D HD96 network connecting dedicated FOH, monitor and broadcast engineers, wireless microphone systems supporting the many performers and ensembles, and a redundant multi-camera live broadcast bringing the celebration to the wider Knox community.

CMG Audio Visual & Touring delivered the technical production for the St George Illawarra Dragons’ 2026 NRLW Season Launch at the University of Wollongong Innovation Campus.

The custom white stage design and VuePix LED screens created a clean, high-impact backdrop for the evening, while a Meyer Sound Ultra-X40 point source system delivered clear, consistent audio throughout the space.

Lighting was brought together with Chauvet Freedom Flex battery uplights, complemented by an ARC Series acrylic lectern and Sennheiser wireless microphones to complete the stage setup.

From the player and leadership panels through to the squad introductions, everything was designed to keep the focus on the players and make sure the night ran seamlessly, with redundant presentation playback keeping content covered from start to finish.

We’re excited to announce that CMG Audio Visual & Touring has signed a new multi-year partnership with the University of Wollongong, Pulse and Aspire Events, continuing as the preferred in-house audio visual and technical production provider for UOW UniHall on Wollongong Campus and the iC Events Centre on Innovation Campus.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to delivering exceptional event experiences across two of the Illawarra’s premier venues. From conferences and gala dinners to live performances, graduations, theatre productions and corporate events, our team will continue to provide end-to-end technical production, backed by industry-leading audio, lighting and vision solutions.

From the roar of the crowd to every second of the action in the arena, Rodeo4Life 2026 was another unforgettable event.

Now in its sixth year, Rodeo4Life continues to celebrate the rich tradition of Australian bull riding while making a real difference by raising vital funds for the RPA Transplant Institute and increasing awareness of the importance of organ donation.

At the Boots & Ballgowns Ball at WIN Entertainment Centre, our team delivered an end-on gala dinner built directly on the rodeo arena floor, creating a unique setting that blended country charm with premium event production.

Our delivery included:
📢 A flown LED screen and custom lighting design for presentations, live entertainment and the evening’s DJ.
📢 A Meyer Sound LEOPARD line array, supported by 900-LFC and 1100-LFC low-frequency control elements, providing consistent audio coverage across the banquet space.
📢 Elegant flown chandeliers to elevate the atmosphere and complete the gala aesthetic.

Our crew then completed an overnight turnaround, transforming the venue from a gala dinner setup into an in-the-round rodeo arena, ready for the next day’s action.

From concept to changeover, we’re proud to deliver production solutions that adapt to the unique demands of every event.

5 days, 10 crew, 16 ceremonies, 3,500 graduates!

CMGAV was honoured to once again support the University of Wollongong’s graduation ceremonies, delivering production across an incredible week of celebrations.

This year, the production was taken to the next level with an updated stage and video design for the new venue, featuring portrait ultra-bright projection to create a striking visual experience.

A refreshed lighting design also helped brighten the room and enhance the celebratory atmosphere throughout each ceremony.

And as always, the production was backed by a full-range audio system, Shure Axient wireless systems, and digital audio control.
