This photo means a little more to us than simply holding an award.

For the past 20 years, our boys have grown up alongside us at Tea House. They’ve seen the long days, early mornings, challenges & celebrations, and they’ve rolled up their sleeves and helped out plenty of times along the way too.

We hope we’ve shown them a few things…

• Work hard, show up & take pride in what you do.

• People come first. Look after your customers, your team & your community.

• Success takes consistency, care & plenty of hard work.

• Never be too important to roll up your sleeves & do what needs doing.

Now, watching them forge their own paths & excel in their chosen careers and lives, we can see those lessons have stuck. That makes us incredibly proud.

To stand together 20 years later & be recognised with the Customer Focus Award makes this photo pretty special.

Not just because of what we’ve achieved in business, but because our boys have been part of the journey & become young men we couldn’t be prouder of.

We reckon these 20 years have given us something far more valuable than an award. 🏆

Holly dropped the amenities, but thankfully NOT the wine. Priorities. 🍷 🧼

And just when we thought everyone was safely accounted for… Brent strolls out protecting the tea, coffee, sugar & biscuits while casually finishing the previous guests’ Maxibons.🍦😂

Bendigo Tramways has transformed a section of the original 1903 Pall Mall tram track into just 300 unique collector pieces as part of Tracks For Care. 🫶🏻

That’s 122 years of Bendigo history, literally!!

Even better, all proceeds are supporting the Bendigo Health Foundation.

We love seeing pieces of our city’s history given a new life, especially when they’re helping support our community at the same time.

A very special little piece of Bendigo to own. 🚋 🫶🏻

Apparently 20+ years of running a motel together & we still like each other enough for a kiss on stage. 💋

Running a 24/7 business as husband & wife has certainly given us a few stories over the years. There have been long days, early starts, late nights, laughs, challenges, plenty of fun & a hell of a lot of hard work.

But standing on that stage together, holding the Customer Focus Award, with our two boys & some of our team right there beside us, we couldn’t have been prouder.

Because Tea House has never just been the two of us.

It’s our family. Our team. Our guests. Our regulars. And 20 years of people who have trusted us to look after them.

To have all of that recognised on Thursday night was pretty bloody special.

Would we do it all again? Well… most of it. 😂🏆

The countdown is on for the tulips to bloom in Bendigo 🌷

Here’s the latest update for how the tulip beds are looking. As tulips are weather dependent it can be hard to predict the exact time of their bloom, but they are more likely to come out early if the weather is warmer.

We’re expecting to see the tulips pop up in the next 3-4 weeks.
