Forever Marilyn was welcomed to Bendigo with a special community celebration on Saturday 6 February.

The 8 metre high sculpture by Seward Johnson, made its Australian debut in Bendigo. Crowds came to celebrate her arrival at a free community celebration from 10-11am in Rosalind Park with 1950s fashion, dance and music. The Bendigo Fashion Festival fashion parade and period vehicles were a hit, along with a great performance by the Rockin' 50s.

Forever Marilyn comes to Bendigo ahead of the exhibition, Bendigo Art Gallery and Twentieth Century Fox present Marilyn Monroe, 5 March - 10 July. This exclusive international event celebrates the life and glamour of Marilyn Monroe through her iconic film costumes, personal style, original photographs and ephemera.
