Storm Aftermath 🌧️🌊

The storm may have passed, but its mark remains. Floodwaters have transformed this beautiful waterfront into a temporary lake, reflecting the resilience of nature beneath the towering pines. Even after the wild weather, the sun breaks through—reminding us that calm always follows the storm. ☀️

Where the land meets the wild Southern Ocean 🌊

The Bald Head Walk Trail in Albany is one of those hikes that truly earns its reputation — rugged ridgelines, endless ocean views, and that feeling of being completely immersed in nature.

It’s not the easiest trek, but every step is worth it. If you’re visiting the Great Southern, this is a must-do. No shortcuts, just pure reward.

Where the ocean carves its masterpiece 🌊

The Natural Bridge — shaped by centuries of crashing waves and coastal winds, standing strong against the wild Southern Ocean.

Nature doesn’t rush, but it creates something unforgettable.

Stillness like this is hard to come by 🌊

Crystal-clear water, endless blue skies, and not a worry in sight. Moments like these remind you to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and take it all in. Whether it’s the gentle ripple of the water or the quiet beauty of the coastline, this is the kind of place that makes you want to stay just a little longer.

Who else could sit here all day? 🌿☀️

Gertrude says hello from beautiful Coral Bay! 🌊☀️

After a bit of a wild detour thanks to the recent cyclone, she’s been laying low and soaking up the sunshine while things settled down. Safe, sound, and back to her cheerful self — and now ready to hit the road again!

While enjoying the beach, Gertrude made a brand-new friend… a tiny (but very mighty) dragon 🐉💜 who’s been keeping her company in the sand and sea breeze.
With spirits high and adventures calling, Gertrude is officially back on track and heading further north. Who knows what (or who!) she’ll meet next?

Stay tuned for more of Gertrude’s journey! 🚐✨

The Gap and Natural Bridge is one of Albany's beautiful natural attractions!

Located in Torndirrup National Park, 5 minutes down the road from Panorama, this stunning natural formation showcases the true power of the Southern Ocean!

Albany is known for it's regular wind and rain, but we reckon that makes the viewing conditions at the Gap lookout even better!! The wet and windy weather promotes a powerful response from the ocean, creating an experience you won't forget!

Don't forget a rain jacket and some spare clothes, as depending on conditions this can be a truly immersive experience (I got saturated by the waves from the car park!)!
