It is not unusual to spot Quoll, Potaroo, Echidna, Owl, Possum & Wallaby, even Platypus in Sloop Lagoon. During the day the bird life is abundant, many sea birds, as well as on the lagoon. The sighting of pods of Dolphins are also common with migrating Humpbacks often seen frolicking along Taylors during the different seasons - May to July and again from September through to November. From Sloop Cottage it is only a 45 minute drive to Eddystone Point Lighthouse through some beautiful locations in Mt William National Park.
