It has been a privilege to run the Blackheath Motor Inn, we thank all of you who have made this such an enjoyable experience.. thank you. We hand over the reins to new owners Paddy & Archie who are adorable and will continue to keep the Inn a wonderful place to stay we're sure. Almost all walking tracks have been re-opened

COUNCIL REOPENS MOST WALKING TRACKS FOLLOWING NATURAL DISASTER, FLOODING AND LANDSLIPS

Most Council bushland reserves and associated walking track networks and outdoor recreation areas are now open and available for use.

Temporary partial closures remain in place for a small number of sites that have identified safety hazards, including:
❌South Lawson Waterfall Loop Walk
❌Victory Track, Faulconbridge
❌Terrace Falls, Hazelbrook
❌Lapstone Zig Zag Walking Track.

Barriers and closure signage are being progressively removed at other locations prior to the ANZAC Day long weekend.

Follow all Council walking track alerts and get information on closures, including maps, at https://www.bmcc.nsw.gov.au/walking-tracks

To check current NPWS alerts in the area go to https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/visit-a-park/parks/blue-mountains-national-park/local-alerts. You can also call Blue Mountains Heritage Centre on 4787 8877 to get a list of NPWS open areas and walks.

WALKING TRACKS UPDATE: We are pleased to announce that the following walking tracks and lookouts have been reopened:
✅ Katoomba Cascades walking track network (including the accessible pathway from Birdwood Avenue to Cliff View Lookout, the path and boardwalk to the base and top of Katoomba Cascades, and all the Reids Plateau Lookouts)
✅ Katoomba Night-lit Walk

Our teams are continuing to carefully assess all closed walking tracks and we will announce when more tracks are reopened as soon as possible.
