Friday Creek is a cosy and comfortable hideaway set on one hundred acres in a small, tranquil valley in northern New South Wales. You can relax and unwind in a private, self-contained cottage surrounded by unspoiled bush, yet be just 20 minutes from Coffs Harbour, with its pristine beaches and near perfect sub-tropical climate. Our nine individually-designed cottages are built from stone, earth-brick and timber, and each one is uniquely decorated and furnished. Warm colours, polished wooden floors, breathtaking views, and spacious interiors with beautiful artworks. In fact, every comfort you'd expect from a five star resort... without the crowds. Each cottage is equipped with everything you'd need in a home away from home - all you have to bring is your food and drink. There are the luxuries, like designer bathrooms with spa bath, huge open fireplaces, bathroom amenities and bathrobes. And then there are the little details; candles, a hammock chairfor your verandah, and even a library of books, music and movies (which are all free of charge, like all facilities at Friday Creek. Our one hundred acre property features fabulous views, a lake for fishing, tennis court and a beautifully landscaped swimming pool with barbecue and woodfired pizza oven. So whatever is your idea of a perfect holiday, bush or beach, action-packed or decidedly quiet you'll find it at Friday Creek.

A little rain, a little mist, and a very good excuse to slow down. 🌧️🌿

It’s been raining lightly here all week, and we always say: you’ve got to be somewhere when it’s raining, so it may as well be somewhere as beautiful as Friday Creek.

This local fellow has spent a couple of days out in the tree, looking rather cold and lonely. We think our guests have the better idea—getting cosy in a warm cabin and watching the mist roll in. 🏡☁️

You really know the season has flipped when the snakes start moving around. 🐍

This magnificent carpet snake decided to try sharing the house with the chickens today. Brodey managed the evacuation, the chickens were safely relocated, and all ended well.

To be fair, this fellow was so cold and dozy I’m not entirely sure he was up to taking on our rooster anyway. 😂

We released him quite close to the chicken pen. Carpet snakes tend to be territorial, so chances are he knows this patch very well and would probably find his way back regardless.

Beautiful, magnificent creature — and a timely reminder that it’s probably time to fix those little holes in the chicken pen before the girls decide to go broody!

How good does this look? 🌸🛁

One very lucky guest enjoyed a gorgeous milk and flower bath during our Spa Day last Friday — with all the flowers picked fresh right here at Friday Creek Retreat.

No chemicals. Just beautiful home-grown flowers, heavenly fragrance, warm water and absolutely nowhere you need to be.

Sometimes you just need a couple of hours to stop, soak and enjoy the quiet.
