Our barista Lee recognised this happy family and their adorable pugalier from their visit to Barney’s last year. Adorable Gloria now 18 months old was a cute squishy 10 week old puppy back then and on her way to her forever home. Last year this same family helped her carry away handfuls of cuttings from the Barney’s ornamental grape vine that had been trimmed and left the previous evening. What an absolute treat it was to have them back on their way home to Tangambalanga Victoria after visiting Sydney.

Alex Magennis popped in to check out The Old Bookham with daughter Florence Corkhill and nephew Maxwell Baxter. They have a strong family connection with church. The exquisite stain glass window behind them was donated by their ancestor Ellen Magennis Julian in 1911. Ellen, a devout Catholic, came from Ireland to join her brother John Sheahan who built the original Sir George at Jugiong. She married twice and had 9 children. Wonder what she would think of the transformation of the church into modern accommodation? .

Updated Pricing Announcement for Bookham, NSW Properties.

Elders Real Estate Yass has recently reduced the prices for three separate land parcels in Bookham, New South Wales. The new prices are as follows:

36-42 Fagan Dr, Lots 1-4: $300,000
44 Fagan Dr, Lots 1&2: $350,000
44 Fagan Dr, Lots 4-6: $230,000

Although these sites appear unkempt, there is great potential for development and growth in the area. Bookham is the southern gateway to the Yass Valley with close proximity to Canberra. The region is experiencing a boom in tourism and industry leading to a scarcity of accommodation options. It is estimated that 17,000-20,000 vehicles travel the area daily. These land parcels present opportunities for residential dwellings, tourism developments, light industry, and commercial enterprises.

The Bookham community is actively involved in the final stages of the Bookham Masterplan, with improvements already underway. This collaborative effort aims to create a thriving and sustainable future for the area, making it an attractive location for investors and developers.
