The Booligal Hotel is open from 12 noon today! 🍻

Our kitchen will be CLOSED today as we encourage everyone to head along to the Booligal Sheep Races and support the fantastic food stalls at the event.

🧊 We have plenty of bags of ice available to fill your eskies, along with takeaway drinks for your race-day celebrations! 🍻

If you’re heading our way this weekend, it’s a good idea to bring some cash along with you, just in case.
There is no ATM in Booligal, and EFTPOS facilities can be limited at times due to ongoing technical and connectivity issues.

EFTPOS CHANGES !

From today 1st October 2026, changes to card payment rules mean businesses like ours will no longer be able to add a surcharge to most card payments.

While the surcharge may be gone, businesses still pay processing fees on every card transaction — and for a small country pub, it all adds up!

Out here in Booligal, we do our best to keep our prices reasonable while continuing to provide cold b**r, good meals and good old-fashioned country hospitality. 🍻

So, whenever you’re able to, we’d really appreciate you choosing cash as this helps us reduce card processing costs and means more of what you spend stays right here with our little country pub 👍🏻

And as many of our regulars and travellers know, EFTPOS can sometimes be a little temperamental out here in the bush, so having some cash in your wallet is always a good idea anyway! 😉

We’re simply encouraging customers to consider cash where possible.

Every little bit helps a small country business. 👍🏻

Wow !!!! What a great finish to another fantastic AFL Grand Final weekend at the Booligal Hotel! 🙌 Congrats to the Brisbane Lions !!!!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along and joined us for the day. Plenty of cold b**rs, footy, laughs and good company - exactly how Grand Final Day should be! 🍺🏆
