Due to rising fuel costs, predicted shortages and the uncertainty surrounding fuel availability, the Boondooma Museum and Heritage Association Committee has, with a heavy heart, made the decision to cancel the April Spirit of the Bush event.
The committee believes we have a responsibility to our artists, patrons and wider community, particularly those travelling long distances and from interstate. Given the distance many travel to attend, we do not wish to risk placing anyone in a position where they may be impacted by increasing fuel costs, limited availability, or unexpected delays and additional expenses.
We also acknowledge that these circumstances may have contributed to lower bookings for this yearโs event.
As a committee, we felt it was important to make this decision now, rather than later, to avoid leaving our artists, patrons and volunteers in a difficult position.
We sincerely thank everyone who had already booked, including our artists, volunteers, sponsors and committee members, for your valued support and understanding.
We have been in touch with our artists personally and will be contacting patrons who have booked and paid to arrange refunds as soon as possible.
We look forward to bringing you Spirit of the Bush 2027.
