☔️ You can’t rain on Cherry’s parade!

Even on the greyest, rainiest days, Cherry Cottage has a way of looking absolutely beautiful. Her gardens glisten, the colours seem richer, and there’s something rather magical about watching the rain fall from the comfort of a warm, cosy cottage. 🩷

And cosy she certainly is!

With hydronic heating, air conditioning and a gorgeous gas fire, Cherry knows how to keep her guests snug.

Her library is filled with books and board games, perfect for a lazy afternoon indoors. And for those who still love a little fresh air? Her fully covered back verandah, complete with Bromic heater, means you can enjoy the gardens and the sound of the rain without getting wet.

Rain, hail or shine, Cherry is a delight in every season.

And it seems word is getting out! Our calendar is filling up beautifully, so if you’ve been thinking about a little Southern Highlands escape, now might be the perfect time to book.

There’s a new girl in the backyard at Cherry Cottage! 🐰

And isn’t she beautiful?

Our latest piece of garden art has hopped into her new home, adding just a little more charm and quirkiness to Cherry’s beautiful gardens.

But there’s one small problem… she doesn’t have a name!

And we simply can’t have that, can we?

So, over to you! What should we call our newest resident?

Meet Jerry, Cherry Cottage’s resident dog! 🐾

He’s a little too big to live inside the Cottage, so he’s claimed a permanent spot in the back garden instead.

He’s incredibly well behaved, never barks, never digs up the garden and is quite happy to sit patiently in the same spot, day in, day out.

The perfect house guest, really! 😂

And devilishly handsome, don’t you think?

Today we visited The Hastings Bowral, nestled within the beautiful Bowral Golf Club 🩷

With two menus to choose from - à la carte or bar sharing plates - we were faced with quite the dilemma!

But, suffering from a serious case of FOMO, we opted for the sharing plates. And what a fabulous decision that was. Absolutely delicious 😋

It’s such a pretty spot, overlooking the 18th hole, especially on a glorious, warm, sunny day.

Great food, great company and a beautiful location.

Something a little bit special happened at Cherry Cottage this weekend… 🤍👰🏼‍♀️

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming a beautiful bride as she prepared for one of the most magical days of her life.

There were dresses, flowers, ch*****ne, a little nervous excitement and, no doubt, plenty of happy tears.

And Cherry? Well, she played her own little part in the celebrations, providing a beautiful backdrop for those precious getting-ready moments and photographs that will be treasured for years to come.

With her gorgeous gardens, soft natural light, old-world charm and romantic little corners, we think she’s rather perfect for the occasion.

We love that Cherry gets to be part of so many special memories. But this one? This one was a little extra special 🩷

Here’s to love, laughter and happily ever after.

And to our beautiful bride and her new husband, we wish you a lifetime of happiness xx

There’s something magical about Cherry Cottage 🩷

Is it her gorgeous gardens? The way the light dances through the trees, casting shadows and catching little pockets of colour? The soft morning glow, the warmth of the afternoon sun? The same garden, yet somehow different every time you look.

Is it her 1930s charm, effortlessly paired with all the comforts and conveniences of today?

Or perhaps it’s her quirky art, adorning every nook and cranny? The unexpected little treasures that make you smile, and sometimes look twice?

I’m not quite sure.

What I do know is that Cherry has a way of making you feel something.

She’s gentle. Welcoming. Peaceful. A little quirky, a little nostalgic and full of personality.

A special old girl with a long history, lovingly brought into the present without losing the charm of her past.

If only those walls could talk…

Something rather gorgeous has made its way into the Cherry Cottage garden!

Two beautiful Limonite Pears sculptures have found their new home, with a little one on its way.

Because according to Mandy, two pears just aren’t quite enough! 😂

I do love a little garden art. Something unexpected, a little quirky, and full of personality.

Just wait until you see all three together! 🩷

“This property had us hooked the moment we entered.”

Well… that’s a pretty lovely way to start a review!

Cosy, comfortable, beautiful gardens, an easy stroll into town - and those little welcome goodies getting a special mention too. It’s all the things we hope our guests notice and enjoy during their stay.

But our favourite bit?

“There’s nothing to dislike.”

There’s something pretty special about welcoming guests back to Cherry Cottage 🩷

When someone chooses to stay with us once, we’re grateful.

When they choose to come back? Well… that deserves a little something extra.

So for our returning guests this weekend, we popped in a little treat from Gumnuts Patisserie - because surely one of the best ways to say welcome back is with cake? 🍰

It’s just a small gesture, but these are the little touches we love adding to a Cherry stay.
