Lifestyle property

Life on this beautiful 100 acres in a lovely cottage perched at the edge of world heritage listed rainforest with ocean, island and mountain views, 2km from the quiet seaside village of Bramston Beach is peaceful and inspiring.

Nestled amongst World Heritage Rainforest at idyllic Bramston Beach, 2 km from the beach and a one hour drive south of Cairns international airport, its elevated position provides expansive ocean views and cool clean ocean breezes that unwind and relax mind and body. North facing, overlooking the coral sea and Queensland’s highest mountains with seasonal creeks and springs, the fertile and chemical free land supports self-sufficiency with native and tropical fruit trees.

The modern low maintenance 2 bedroom cottage with high ceilings and plenty of windows is metal framed and clad, with open plan living and stainless steel kitchen, fully tiled bathroom and a large 5m X 6m deck. There is an outdoor shower on the deck overlooking the ocean. The backyard has Pandanus trees where you will see cassowaries feeding when the fruit is ripe.

The half-acre orchard next to the house is predominantly made up of native Australian fruit trees, for both human and Cassowary consumption. Other fruit trees include Papaya, Banana, Mango, Kaffir limes, Orange, Lemon, Strawberry Guava, Avocado, Gramichama, Rollinia, Jackfruit, Breadfruit, Durian and more, with fruit trees in the nursery ready for planting. The Buddha Belly bamboo lined driveway and front fence line provides a calming atmosphere for farm strolls to the orchard across the creek via the causeway.
