🌼 The Outback is Coming Alive! 🌼

The Broken Hill region is beginning to burst into colour as wildflowers bloom across the outback. After the right conditions, the landscape transforms into a breathtaking display of vibrant yellows, purples, pinks, and whites stretching across the red earth.

Looking for an unforgettable Outback adventure? 🌄 Mutawintji National Park is a must-visit destination located just 130km from Broken Hill! 🚗

Translated as "a place of green grass and water," this stunning landscape is dominated by the fiery red Bynguano Range, deep gorges lined with river red gums, and hidden rock pools. 🌿💦

Here is what makes it so special:

🌾 Deep Cultural History
Mutawintji has been a sacred gathering and ceremonial place for Aboriginal people for thousands of years. Walk through history and see incredible ancient rock engravings, stencils, and paintings.

🦅 Thriving Wildlife
As one of the only reliable water sources in the area, it is teeming with life! You are guaranteed to spot big red kangaroos and emus, and you might even glimpse wedgetail eagles, peregrine falcons, or goannas.

🥾 The Mutawintji Gorge Walk
Keen for a hike? The 6km return walk follows a scenic creek bed across rangeland country. It ends at a peaceful rockpool surrounded by towering red cliffs (with just a little bit of fun rock scrambling at the end!).

Tours are available for the historical sites, making it the perfect day trip or camping getaway from Broken Hill. 🏕️
