A quick notice for anyone visiting Swan Gully Park over the next few days.

We kindly ask that you bear with us over the next couple of days as Kylie will be away from today until late Friday night, returning to work Saturday morning.

During this time, the office will not be manned as usual.

If you're arriving or need assistance, please give us a call. We'll do our best to answer as soon as possible. If your call goes unanswered, please send a text message and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

Unfortunately, Kylie is travelling away to attend a funeral, so she will be particularly unavailable Thursday from around 2pm while the service takes place.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we navigate the next few days.

Swan Gully was out at the SSS Winch Challenge! 🏁🔥

Dom and the boys headed out to watch Jeff from outtapatrol racing and all the trucks and teams take on the final of the three stages and what a day!

Conditions were seriously dusty, but that definitely didn’t slow the racers down. The navis did an incredible job getting their teams through the winch hills, tackling all 7, along with the side-by-side stages.

Such a great event to watch and some seriously impressive driving and teamwork throughout the day. 👏

This is honestly so disappointing.

Earlier this week, I made the trip up to our campsites with a view to clean up toilet paper that had been left scattered around, we collected a full black garbage bag.

And now today, I’ve just been sent these photos from someone driving around the property who came across all of these cans dumped at one of our beautiful spots with a view.

The frustrating part is that this particular spot wasn’t even camped at this weekend, so someone has obviously driven up there, enjoyed the view and decided to leave all of this behind.

And I’m actually really disappointed because I thought we had such a good weekend. Everyone who came through seemed incredibly respectful of the property, we had some lovely groups staying with us, and I genuinely came away feeling like it had been a great weekend.

Then I get sent this.

I won't lie, it has honestly put me in a bad mood.

ESPECIALLY when we have a DESIGNATED AREA at the office for your cans. You don't even have to take them home. Bring them back down and leave them with us. There is absolutely no reason for this.

Instead, we now have to make another trip up there and clean up someone else's rubbish because they couldn't give our land the same respect that we give them by allowing them to enjoy it.

We don't want to start introducing more rules, deposits or restrictions because of the actions of a small number of people when the overwhelming majority of our guests do the right thing.
But this behaviour is unacceptable, and something needs to change.

So genuinely, what would you do?

What do you think parks like ours should be doing to hold the people who do this accountable, without punishing everyone else?
If you see your mates doing this, be a leader and stand up to them and tell them to stop.

Because asking people to leave our property as they found it really shouldn't be too much to ask.

You’ll always find Theo somewhere close by. 🐾

If he’s not stuck at our feet with some sort of stick or ball to throw, or chasing after us in the buggy, chances are he’s made himself comfortable at someone’s campsite, underneath a car, or hanging out with whoever happens to be nearby.
He’s the friendliest boy and absolutely loves making the rounds and saying hello to everyone who comes to stay.
This morning was no different, while the boys were getting their car ready to hit the tracks, Theo decided the best place to supervise was right underneath it with them. 😂 they didnt even know he was there until one rolled over.

Just another day of Theo making sure absolutely nothing happens at Swan Gully without him knowing about it. 🤎🐾

What owning Swan gully really looks like… 🌿
Dom’s been out cleaning up again!
This particular area had been heavily overgrown for quite some time, long before we took over Swan Gully and we’re finally getting in and giving it some much-needed attention.

Unfortunately, hidden amongst all that growth was an old gazebo… which we discovered when it went through the slasher and turned into so many small pieces 😬 Safe to say, not exactly what you want to find that way!

It’s such a shame to uncover things like this throughout the property. We don’t want to dwell on the negatives because we absolutely love seeing Swan Gully slowly being cleaned up and brought back to life, but it is a little reminder that whatever gets left behind on the land eventually has to be picked up by someone.

And on that note, Kylie’s job today is heading up to the Ridge to collect toilet paper that has been left scattered around campsites.

We completely understand that sometimes nature calls when you’re camping! 😂 But if you do need to use the bush as your toilet, please clean up and take your toilet paper with you. Seeing toilet paper scattered through the bush isn’t pleasant for other campers, and it’s definitely not pleasant for us to have to collect.

We’re putting a huge amount of work into looking after our home and backyard, and we really appreciate everyone doing their part to help us keep Swan Gully beautiful. ❤️
At the end of the day, this isn’t just a 4WD park or somewhere to camp it’s our home, our backyard, and somewhere we’re incredibly proud to share with you all.

Leave nothing behind but tyre tracks and good memories.
