🏡❤️ A LITTLE INSIGHT INTO AIRBNB’S 5-STAR RATING SYSTEM! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Before becoming Airbnb hosts ourselves, we always thought giving 4 stars was a great review! We believed 5 stars meant absolute perfection and that there should always be room for improvement.

How our perspective has changed since becoming hosts! 😊

What many guests don’t realise is that Airbnb’s rating system can work quite differently from what you might expect.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars – A wonderful stay! Everything was clean, comfortable, as described, and met or exceeded expectations.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 Stars – A good experience, but perhaps a few things could have been better. While this sounds positive, 4-star reviews can actually lower a host’s overall rating.

⭐⭐⭐ 3 Stars or Less – Generally suggests there were significant issues or the experience fell short of expectations.

🌿 At Bronte Snug, we put our hearts into creating a welcoming home away from home for our guests.

We certainly don’t expect perfection, and we understand there’s always room for improvement. That’s why we genuinely appreciate feedback and encourage guests to let us know if something isn’t quite right, so we have the opportunity to make it better.

It’s the 13th of October, we’re halfway through spring, and Mother Nature has decided winter deserves an encore! 🌨️🤣

Waking up to snowflakes falling, rooftops turning white and the Central Highlands looking like a winter wonderland! 🏡❄️

Who needs four seasons when you can experience them all in one day? 😂

❄️ SIGNIFICANT LATE-SPRING SNOWFALL HEADING FOR TASMANIA! ❄️⛄️

🏡 A Weather Update from Bronte Snug – Central Highlands, Tasmania

Winter isn’t quite finished with Tassie yet! 🥶❄️

A significant late-spring cold outbreak is forecast to bring heavy snowfall, icy roads and possible travel disruptions across parts of Tasmania from tonight, Monday 12 October, into Tuesday 13 October.

❄️ SNOWFALL FORECAST

Up to 10–20 cm of snow is possible across elevated areas of the West Coast, Central Plateau and Highlands, with potentially heavier falls on mountain peaks.

Snow levels could drop to:

* ❄️ West Coast – As low as 300 metres
* ❄️ South & Southeast – Around 300–400 metres
* ❄️ Northeast – Around 700 metres

🚗 TRAVELLING THROUGH THE HIGHLANDS?

If you’re staying at Bronte Snug or travelling between Bronte Park, Strahan, Queenstown, Derwent Bridge or Lake St Clair, please take extra care.

Snow and ice may make highland roads slippery and dangerous, particularly overnight and early Tuesday morning.

⚠️ OUR ADVICE

* Allow extra time for your journey.
* Avoid unnecessary early-morning travel.
* Check road conditions before departing.
* Be prepared to delay your departure until roads have been assessed and cleared.
* Drive carefully and never feel pressured to rush.

🥾 BUSHWALKERS – PLEASE TAKE CARE!

Conditions around Cradle Mountain, Lake St Clair, the Overland Track and Central Plateau could become dangerous, with snow, freezing temperatures, strong winds and poor visibility.

Prepare for cooler weather on Tuesday 🐾🦌🍷🎣🍻⛄️

A cold front will cross Tasmania tomorrow, bringing showers statewide, snow to higher ground and possible small hail, the Bureau of Meteorology says.

Snow is expected above 800m in the south-east and 700m in the west, where the heaviest falls are forecast, with Queenstown and Lake St Clair set for 10-25mm.

The bureau said "fresh and gusty" north-westerly winds would turn south-westerly, with "showers or snow" and very windy conditions forecast on kunanyi/Mount Wellington, which will peak at five degrees.

High pressure will bring mostly fine conditions from Wednesday before temperatures climb to 26 degrees at Ouse on Friday, with showers returning on Saturday.
