Art with Soul, Culture & Connection 🌊✨

At The Millington, we are honoured to showcase artwork by Miimi and Jiinda — a powerful mother-daughter duo from Gumbaynggirr Country whose creations are deeply rooted in culture, storytelling, and healing.

The featured piece is inspired by Gaagal, meaning ocean in Gumbaynggirr, which holds sacred significance as their totem. The central symbol represents a meeting place — a space where neighbouring tribes, family and friends journey to connect, share stories, and celebrate culture. The surrounding circles and pathways reflect this spirit of community and connection.
Created on Gumbaynggirr Country, these works not only bring beauty into our space, but also carry the powerful energy of Gaagal — a reminder of healing, unity, and deep cultural roots.

We’re proud to share a little piece of their journey, and so grateful to have their incredible art as part of The Millington experience.
