Buchan Stays

13/09/2026

Beyond its famous caves, Buchan is a country town where ancient landscapes, crystal-clear rivers and outdoor adventures come together 🌿. Whether you're exploring underground wonders or unwinding by the water, there's something to discover around every corner.

Step beneath the surface at the spectacular Buchan Caves Reserve, then make your way just 1km north of town to The Bluff Reserve 💧. Here, an impressive rock face towers above a picturesque bend in the Buchan River, where crystal-clear mountain water flows over a stony riverbed. Bring a picnic 🧺, take a refreshing swim in the local swimming hole, float downstream on a lilo or raft, or simply relax beneath the shade of the plane trees while listening to the gentle sounds of the river.

If you're staying a little longer, Buchan is the perfect base for exploring Snowy River National Park 🌄, Little River Gorge and the stunning coastline of Cape Conran.

It’s that quieter time of the year, so we’re doing things a little differently. The chefs are having a well-deserved rest and Noah’s pizzas are back!

We do have some amazing supporters in our community!

NYE Supporter Shout-Out: AusRamp Auswide

A huge thank you to Brownie from AusRamp, one of our major supporters, for helping us bring the 2025 Buchan New Year’s Eve Fireworks to life!

AusRamp has backed our community event from the get-go, making a commitment last year after our inaugural fireworks event. Their contribution ensures we can deliver a safe, spectacular night for families, locals, and visitors—lighting up the foothills with colour, music and celebration. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing support and commitment to Buchan.

If you see Brownie around the bar, give him a wave and a thanks—because thanks to him and his business, NYE in Buchan is going to be bigger and brighter than ever! 🌟
