Our reality is becoming more and more dehumanizing, which can be expected given our society's singular focus on maximizing profit. In such a system, literally everything else we value gets sacrificed to the goal of profit making - if our actions aren't contributing to profit creation at some level, they are simply not valued by our society. Until we, as a society, begin to acknowledge this and shift our collective goals, we can expect the trends to continue.
