The more winters we have here the more my fascination with funghi grows. Beautiful and unique as they are, wild mushrooms are also potentially deadly so must never be touched.

I wouldn't call it luxury but it is sustainable and wholesome and that's the way we like it 🥰

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Wandha is a little piece of paradise, and our stay was wonderful. The property is quiet, private, serene, and spacious. The cottage is cute, comfortable, and very well appointed. We particularly appreciated the owners obvious commitment to environmentally friendly practices, and loved the fact that the property is set up to support fauna and flora. We loved the combustion fire in the living area, the fire pit, the sunny deck, the veggie patch, and the orchard, and we enjoyed a leisurely stroll around the property each day, with my dog. The beds were warm and incredibly comfortable, and each bedroom has a heater for Winter, which we found effective, and fans for Summer. Wandha is situated within a short drive to shops, and is located close to several beaches and lakes. We loved our stay at Wandha and will definitely be back." ~ Kathy, Airbnb June 2024

The beauty of Wandha is that its a place that is quiet and free from disturbance. Somewhere people can rejuvenate and recalibrate in the natural surrounds and wildlife can flourish. We do what we do for the betterment of people and wildlife, not for accolades. BUT, it was such a thrill (and a surprise) to recently receive 93% on our Strive For Sustainability scorecard through . We received our eco-certification last year but its a constant journey to ensure we're on track and continually improving.

Wandha is more than an Airbnb. We like to think of it as a sanctuary for people and wildlife alike. So creating habitats and enhancing biodiversity outside is just as important as providing relaxing and comfortable accommodation for people indoors. We took another step forward in our habitat project recently with the planting of over 50 koala feed trees, with many thanks to . Ironically a couple of nights after this photo was taken, we heard the bellowing of a koala in our bushland, almost thanking us from one parent to another for the future of their children 🐨 🥰

Thank you for teaching me the beautiful gift of resilience and encouraging me to keep going no matter what. Thank you for teaching me how to work hard and how not to wait on others in order to do what needs to be done. Thank you for instilling in me a self-initiative and motivation that has served me well... mostly. Thank you for showing us adventure and encouraging us to venture off the beaten track. Thank you for the best childhood memories exploring the Great Lakes – without this we probably wouldn’t have found Wandha.
