Did you know the much-loved Eagle Outlook has had a glow-up and is now Serendipity?

Fresh paint, beautiful new styling, and a brand new log fireplace, but the real magic is still right where it’s always been: that breathtaking 270° view over the South Burnett plains.

This is the kind of mountain stay made for slow mornings, golden afternoons, fireside evenings and memories that linger long after you’ve packed the car.

Sleeping up to 8 across 4 bedrooms, Serendipity is a beautiful escape for families and friends looking to pause, reconnect and soak up a little Bunya magic.

A classic, reimagined.

Clear skies, crisp mountain air, and a sky full of stars… nights like this are something special at the Bunya Mountains. ✨

These spectacular shots capture what happens when the sun goes down and the ancient bunyas frame a glittering night sky, one of the quietest shows on earth.
With clear weather over the mountains tonight, it's the perfect time to step outside, rug up, and look up.

Have you captured any magnificent shots like these? Share them in the comments below, and if tonight has you dreaming of a winter escape, we'd love to have you up here.

The forecast is looking beautiful for the markets this Sunday ☀️

With sunny skies and a top of 14°C, it’s the perfect excuse for a trip up the mountain. Wander through the market stalls, soak up the fresh mountain air, then settle in on the lawn with a hot chocolate and warm bunya nut scones.

As the sun sets, they often appear. In the morning, you might catch them hiding among the trees.

The wallabies of the Bunya Mountains feel like part of the scenery. Step onto your cabin deck at dusk, and there’s a good chance you’ll spot one grazing nearby. Unhurried, unbothered, completely at home.

Where did you spot your first wallaby? We love hearing about those quiet wildlife moments.

Every visit to Bunyas has that one spot that makes you pause, breathe, and take in the view. For me, it is Fisher’s Lookout where the rolling hills and endless forest stretch as far as the eye can see.

If waterfalls are more your style, Little Falls offers a peaceful escape surrounded by lush greenery and the gentle sound of flowing water. Barker Creek Lookout is another favourite, with treetops that seem to go on forever.

Do you have a favourite lookout or hidden gem? Share it with us.

You’ll hear them before you see them.

The birds of the Bunya Mountains are bold, beautiful and utterly unforgettable. Flashing through the canopy, landing on your railing like they own the place, and posing just long enough for a photo if you’re quick.

The mornings are getting crisper, the mist is rolling in earlier, and the fireplaces are calling.

Winter on the Bunya Mountains is something else entirely. The kind of quiet that fills you up instead of leaving you empty. Fog wrapping the treetops like a blanket. Sunsets that stop you mid-sentence.

What's your favourite part of winter up here? The cosy nights by the fire? The morning mist? The wallabies appearing at dusk? Tell us below.
