Most people assume the outdoor bath is a summer thing. They’re missing out.

There is something genuinely special about sinking into a hot bath when the air around you is cold. The mist rises off the water, you can see your breath, and you are somehow both completely outside and still warm.

With no phone signal worth checking and nowhere you actually need to be, you end up sitting there doing absolutely nothing for longer than you have managed in months, and at some point you realise that was exactly the point.

Winter at Currajong is one of our best kept secrets, and honestly we are not sure why we are still keeping it.

Come see what our winter is all about at Currajong Retreat, NSW

Everything is included because the last thing you should be doing on holiday is making decisions.

Breakfast and dinner come to your tent, the drinks are already sorted and the fire is set before you arrive. We thought about all of it so that when you pull up, there is genuinely nothing left to figure out. There are no restaurant bookings to make, no grocery runs and no negotiating over what to do with the afternoon.

Proper rest is hard to find when you are still managing things. Here, there is nothing to manage.

Come and do nothing, very well.

You can look at photos and watch reels all day but some things you only understand once you’re standing here.

Like how quickly you stop reaching for your phone. Not because there’s no signal but because you genuinely forget it exists. Or how quiet it really is when there’s no traffic, no neighbours, and no notifications pulling you back to reality.

Most people tell us they sleep better here than they have in months and wake up wondering why they feel so different. And that the whole off-grid thing they were slightly nervous about turns out to be the best part.

Funny how doing absolutely nothing can feel like exactly what you needed.

And that’s just the beginning. Wait until you hear about the rest.

Look, I'm not saying the bar is low. But this guy pees on his own face and still thinks he's got a chance.🫣

It's that time of year where the boys on the farm lose all dignity in the name of love and honestly, watching him strut around with zero self-awareness while every single female walks the other way is the most entertaining part of my week. He genuinely thinks this is peak romance and the girls could not disagree more.

So next time your partner does something that drives you crazy, just remember this bloke exists. Suddenly leaving the towel on the floor doesn't seem so bad does it?

Share this with your partner because sometimes you both just need a laugh and a reminder that you've got it pretty good. šŸ˜‚

You know what comes up in almost every review? The food. And it's just my mum doing what she's always done.

Good produce, lots of love, and the kind of cooking that has people closing their eyes and going "mmmmm" before they've even finished the first bite. They come for the bath and leave raving about the food. Every single time.

We're pretty lucky because she's been cooking like this our whole lives and now our guests get to experience it too.

I reckon her cooking has sold more stays than any reel I've ever posted. And honestly, I'm not even mad about it.

Somewhere between the school run and the office there’s a morning like this waiting for you.

The kind where you’re not watching the sunrise through the windscreen but from right here.

āœ… Bath running
āœ… Nothing on the schedule

Just this.

The same sunrise, but it feels completely different from here.

āž”ļø Send this to the person you’d drag out of bed at 7am for this view.

Look, we’re all feeling it. But can we please talk about something else for five seconds? Here’s something that might actually make you smile.

Because sometimes your feed just needs a baby goat doing baby goat things. No stress, no doom scrolling, no bad news. Just a little face that doesn’t know anything about the price of petrol and is having the best day of its life.

And honestly, I think we could all use a bit more of that energy right now.

A little more smile in your feed never hurt anyone. You’re welcome.

Save this for next time the algorithm tries to ruin your day.

Long weekend's almost here. Hands up if you still haven't figured out what you're doing with it.

Here's what I reckon. The best long weekends aren't the ones you pack full of plans. They're the ones where you slow right down and give yourself permission to do absolutely nothing somewhere beautiful.

Four days off doesn't come around often. That's three mornings with no alarm, afternoons where the biggest decision is whether to run an outdoor bath or have a nap and catch the sunset instead.

And then that feeling on the last day where leaving feels harder than it should.

We're fully booked this Easter, but if scrolling through this made you feel like you're missing out, don't let the next one slip by too.

One of the best parts about staying here is that you don’t actually have to choose. šŸƒšŸŒŠ

Most of the time it’s all country calm. Quiet mornings, open space, birds in the trees and that slower pace that comes from being properly surrounded by nature.

But every now and then it’s nice to mix things up.

Merimbula is only a 45 minute drive from us, which makes it the perfect kind of day trip. The kind where you take your time over breakfast, head out towards the coast for a few hours, maybe stop for fresh oysters or a swim, and then make your way back to the country just as the afternoon starts to set in.

By evening you’re back in the quiet again, with the river, the trees and ready wind down over dinner.

A little bit of coast, a little bit of country, all in the same weekend.
