every evening,
relaxed and easy,
floats towards the horizon

and into the clouds or the hills,
or the rumpled sea,
and is gone -
and how it slides again

out of the blackness,
every morning,
on the other side of the world,
like a red flower

streaming upward on its heavenly oils,
say, on a morning in early summer,
at its perfect imperial distance -
and have you ever felt for anything

such wild love -

Some pics from yesterday. It was a Wild Feast for a New Age alright. It’s beautiful to see the venue activated so elegantly. Designed by Julie Woolfrey and influenced by French & European architecture, it is a beautiful space built for the coming together of positive energies ✨ and there aren’t much better energies than this. A smoking ceremony by Aunty Trish from the Gundungurra, a wild food foraging tour by an 8 course degustation by and gorgeous wild foraged native drinks paired by ❤️❤️❤️ Our ‘four seasons in one day’ Burrawang weather seemed to get it right. A little damp and foggy for the ceremony and walk, it cleared for lunch and the sun came out in all its glory to light up the landscape for magic hour as the feast came to a close ☀️ Special thanks to for the gorgeous flowers from her garden 🙌🏻💋

✨Staring into a white veil of cloud with hues of the faraway forest below, after a invigorating walk through the forest, was breathtaking. It truely felt like we were at the edge of the world. ✨
There are so many beautiful places to visit within 10-15 minutes of Wild Ducks. This waterfall walk we took in the rain is one of the many wonders. Thanks Optimum Experiences Outdoor Adventures for the optimum experience ⚡️🤩

Wild Ducks Burrawang is a boutique spa suite accommodation and wedding venue nestled among the rolling hills in the pristine Southern Highlands. Owned by Ed and Julie Woolfrey, previous owners of the Burrawang Village Hotel, the venue is well known for it’s spectacular view and is located a stone’s throw down the hill from the famous pub.
